Tomás Yankelevich is the Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, General Entertainment, Turner Latin America. Tomás will be based in Turner’s Miami office and reports to Which Richardson, President Turner Latin America.
Tomás is responsible for leading our general entertainment brands, including TNT, TNT Series, Space, TCM, I.Sat, Warner Channel, TBS, HTV, MuchMusic, Glitz* and truTV. Yankelevich is charged with helping develop and execute a road map for the content strategy of these brands that align the company's operations in the linear and digital terrain, supervising the development of content; acquisitions and production; creative services; programming schedules, planning and content monetization strategies.
Yankelevich will also oversee the programming for Chilevisión, the Turner air channel in Chile. The programming director of Chilevisión will report jointly to Yankelevich and the network's president, Jorge Carey, in order to ensure maximum use of Turner's portfolio.
Yankelevich comes to Turner from Telefe, where his most recent post was Director of Global Content and International Business, overseeing programming, international channels, television production, film production, digital content, program development and operations management international.
Prior to joining Telefe in 2011 as Director of Programming and Production, Yankelevich led his own award-winning production company, UTOPIA, and worked as a producer, director and screenwriter. He graduated from the University of Southern California School of Film and Television. Yankelevich has an extraordinary trajectory within Argentine television, and represents the fourth generation of his family in the industry.
