Jamie Friend is chief financial officer for Turner’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region – responsible for the company’s financial planning and analysis across its diverse portfolio of news, kids and general entertainment brands.
In this capacity, he oversees the region’s financial growth planning and manages the commercial finance team across the EMEA business. In addition, following his previous position as vice president of corporate strategy and insights for Turner EMEA, Friend continues to manage the EMEA corporate strategy function as part of his role.
He reports to Trey Turner, chief financial officer of Turner International and works closely with the Turner International finance accounting management team to leverage skills and competencies within the company for specific regional business needs. He is also part of the EMEA senior management team, with a reporting line into Giorgio Stock, president, Turner EMEA.
Prior to joining Turner in October 2013, Friend worked at Arqiva where he was head of strategy. He also previously held senior strategy and business development roles at The Walt Disney Company and at strategy consulting firm CSMG Adventis.
